What's going on at Dulce Refugio
I know that many people have passed through this orphanage and left their mark at Dulce Refugio. I want to keep all of you informed about what is going on with the kids and the construction process. Please remember to keep us in your thoughts and prayers; I hope you continue to help us out here at Casa Hogar Dulce Refugio. Gracias amigos!
October was a change of pace. I only spent about half of the month in Mexico because I got to go home to San Diego, CA for a couple of weeks and visit friends & family. It was a blessing. BUT before I left I got to meet the newest 4 additions to "Dulce Refugio."
Santiago
Estrella, Esmereldas, Rubi

These 4 brothers and sisters arrived in Early October and are fitting in nicely. Santiago has already started going to Tae Kwon Do classes with some of the other kids and the girls help out a lot in the kitchen. They're sweethearts. We'll take good care of 'em.

Being from San Diego makes traveling to Aguascalientes a much easier ordeal. I can cross the border on foot and catch a local flight with a Mexican airline.
While I was home, I had a meeting with the pastor, Phillip Macintosh, of my home church, Horizon Christian Fellowship. I was asked to fill out an application to be an official Horizon missionary. It would be a huge honor to represent the church that I grew up in.
When I came back to Aguascalientes I learned that Armando is no longer staying with us. One of his relatives came and picked him up so he is now back with family. Adios Armando. We'll miss you.
And here's just some fun pics of the kids playing with my sunglasses
